If the police pull me over for a traffic offense in Florida, can they search my car and arrest me?

Just because you’re pulled over for traffic offense in the State of Florida, doesn’t give police the right to search you and arrest you. Typically, they have to have reasonable suspicion or probable cause in order to search your car. Typically, we see they say that they smell marijuana coming from the car, they see drugs on the floorboard, they see a gun, they see something that gives them rights to search you and to arrest you but short of seeing that, the only way that they can search your car is consent, which I would recommend never giving the police the right to do.
